Who can participate in Limmud?
Anyone, without limitation with regard to age, gender, beliefs, community participation or religious practice, is welcome at Limmud! Whether you are young or just young at heart, Jewish or not entirely, speak Russian or not exactly, we will be happy to see you at Limmud.
Who can become a presenter at Limmud?

Anyone can apply to present a lecture, seminar, workshop, cultural event or a master-class. One can also suggest somebody else as a presenter. Presenter submissions should be made via Speaker Sign Up Form. All applications will be reviewed by the Limmud Organizing Committee, and those that best complement our program as a whole will be welcomed.

Who organizes Limmud?

All Limmud events are organized by a team of volunteers. Some of us have been involved in community organizing for many years, for others – this is a first community building experience. We are all different, but we are united by a single goal – to make this a vibrant, informative, and deeply memorable event. Our organizing efforts are supported by Limmud FSU organization and its generous sponsors. You can become one of them – Sponsor and Volunteer. Please Contact Us with your intentions.

How is Limmud different from other events?
Limmud is a Jewish educational conference. It may also feel like a mini camp experience, both for kids and adults alike. We invite everyone to participate in the festivities, but the overarching theme is Jewish culture, history and identity, in the widest sense of the terms, as well as variety of universal subjects that interest community members.
What I have to do to attend Limmud?

To become a part of Limmud FSU West Coast, you will need to register on our website and pay the participation fee. Registration for Limmud FSU San Francisco is planned to open on August 17 of 2017. There are also many opportunities and incentives to volunteer during the event itself.

What food will be available?

There will be a kosher buffet that will include vegetarian and vegan dishes. The food will be provided by … Catering. If you would like to eat outside the conference buffet, you can use the bars and restaurants of the hotel at your own expense. If you have allergies, please let us know in the registration form.

Are children and teens welcome?

Limmud is a family event and we invite participants of all ages. There will be a specific Children’s and Teens programs for separated by age. Of course you can bring children younger than three, but they will not be covered by the children’s program and you will have to look after them yourself.

How much does it cost to attend?

The price is $75 for adults 13+, $50 for kids 4 – 12, and $0 for toddlers 3 and below. Please note that Limmud FSU is subsidized by our generous sponsors and if you are able, please pay the full price or make an additional donation during registration.

Is there a discount for children?

Children under 3 are included in the parent’s registration at no extra charge. Special prices will be provided for kids of 3-12 years old and teenagers under 18.

I am on a limited budget, can I have a discount?

There are three options available:
– register as early as possible to receive the lowest price;
– share a room as opposed to booking a private room;
– become a Limmud Volunteer, Volunteers register and pay the full price and receive $50 back at the end of the conference, learn more about Volunteer program.

How can I volunteer?

During the registration process, give an affirmative answer to the question whether you want to become a volunteer. More details about volunteering and steps to apply can be found on Volunteer page.

What would I have to do as a Volunteer?

You can familiarize yourself with what is expected from volunteers here.

What do I get out of volunteering at Limmud FSU?
  • A volunteer will gain an experience in organizing a major event.
  • A volunteer has a unique opportunity to personally contribute to the development of the Jewish culture and community.
  • At the end of the Limmud FSU conference, each volunteer will receive a compensation in the amount of $50 (you can opt-out by making a donation to Limmud FSU) in addition to other perks during conference.

For each participant, we will issue a pass that allows to stay in the conference area. Therefore we need to know your personal details and accommodation preferences. Please fill out the registration form for yourself and everyone who will go to Limmud FSU with you. Registration for the conference will be considered successful only upon payment. You will receive a confirmation of your place at the e-mail, which you provide in the registration form.

When will registration open?

Registration is targeted to open on May 26 17, 2021. For specific dates announcement, return regularly to our website and our Facebook page.

I am already registered for the conference as a Presenter/Volunteer/Conference Partner. Must I also complete the online registration form?

How can I cancel my participation after the payment?

Refund requests will be accepted until June 7th and reviewed on a case by case basis, please email info@limmudfsuus.org for more questions.

Can those who are not fluent or do not speak Russian at all attend the conference?

The program will consist of Russian- and English-language sessions. It is helpful to know Russian in order to receive full conference experience, but it should be possible to find plenty of English-speaking sessions and experiences to not feel left out.

I have to arrive at the conference late or leave early. Is there a reduced price due to missing a part of the conference?

You can, of course, arrive and depart whenever it is convenient for you; however, the conference price will remain the same.

How can I make changes to my registration?

While filling out the questionnaire, you can return to your previous answers and edit them if necessary. If you need to make changes to the form that has been sent, please contact us at info@limmudfsuus.org.
